Dr. Sam Shamardi

Born in Spain and raised in southern California, Dr. Shamardi received his B.S. from the University of California, San Diego in Political Science before attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, he was elected class president for all four years by his peers.

Dr. Shamardi trained for his Certificate in Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania where he had extensive surgical and dental implant experience. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and briefly worked in multiple practices in California before returning to Boston in 2011 where he has since continued to practice full-time and teach part-time as a Clinical Instructor at the Harvard Dental Division of Periodontics.

In 2014, Dr. Shamardi launched Dental Innovations LLC, a dental company aimed at providing novel solutions to unaddressed issues within dentistry. He created EarAid, an intelligent electronic earplug aimed at addressing the significant issue of noise-induced hearing loss within dentistry. The technology provides 100% HD hearing without compromising communication with patients and staff while simultaneously lowering the damaging sounds causing hearing loss within the dental environment.

His newest venture includes the publication of his first book, The Financial Survival Guide for Dentists, aimed at helping graduating and early career dental professionals understand the fundamental financial tools needed to establish their careers.

Dr Shamardi lectures both nationally and internationally in topics within periodontics along with his EarAid product titled "Dentistry's Deafening Silence" and has published multiple articles. He plans to next create a new science and health organization of professionals to network and break outside the traditional boundaries of each field. In his spare time, Dr. Shamardi enjoys traveling and following his favorite soccer club, Real Madrid. He is fluent in three languages and enjoys following current affairs and history.
